Chief Executive Officer J. Michael Jernigan founded Select Health of South Carolina, the first Medicaid health plan in South Carolina in 1995 in an effort to help low-income families improve access to health care in our state.
Cindy Helling serves as Select Health of South Carolina’s executive director and has been employed by the company since its founding in 1995. She oversees operations throughout the statewide service area.
Rob Church joined Select Health of South Carolina as chief financial officer in July 2012. As CFO, Rob oversees financial operations, including financial strategic planning, financial reporting, budgeting and oversight of accounting functions.
Dr. Greg Barabell joined Select Health as a medical director in 2012. He works closely with asthma initiatives for Select Health and across corporate lines. He also works with the state partnership Quality through Technology and Innovation in Pediatrics (QTIP) for Select Health.
Tricia Crimminger serves as Select Health's director of Communications. She has worked in public relations, marketing and communications for 26 years, specializing in travel and tourism, public education and health care.
Philip Fairchild joined the Select Health of South Carolina team in August of 2001 and has more than 10 years of health care experience including direct patient care, claims, quality and training management and provider relations.
Lillian Suarez came to Select Health of South Carolina in 2000 as a supervisor in the Marketing department. She was promoted to director in 2008 and has been instrumental in leading Select Health's sales efforts for many years.
Kevin Vaughan joined Select Health in 2006 with more than 18 years of health care experience, including 14 years of experience in call center management. At Select Health, Mr. Vaughan is responsible for the plans’ call center, member education and member outreach efforts.
Peggy Vickery began working as the director of Provider Network Management in July 2001. She is responsible for recruiting and contracting providers in new and existing counties to ensure network adequacy and negotiating contracts with physicians, hospitals and ancillary providers.
