Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College hosted Select Health’s 2006 Health Ministry Empowerment Tour on Oct 28th in Orangeburg, SC.
From left to right: Wendy Brawley (Publisher of IMARA Woman magazine), Tracy Pou (Select Health’s Manager of Government Affairs and Corporate Communication), Gospel Sensation and Key Note Speaker Ann Nesby, and Dionne Gleaton (Times and Democrat newspaper)
There’s nothing like the encouraging words and uplifting sounds of gospel music. Marion’s own community choir moved the spirits of attendees during the opening session.
Gospel Sensation Ann Nesby is accompanied by the glorious sounds of South Carolina State University’s own United Voices of Christ.
Marion participants partake in a “fruitful” snack break.
Now that’s how a really good laugh looks! A joyful participant enjoys the “Laughter: Good Medicine” workshop.
Health Ministry participants take advantage of health screenings. The screenings are a very important component of the program.
Mention the “M” word and most women cringe. But since the life change is inevitable, participants listen to tips that will empower them to face menopause with confidence.
Orangeburg participants stretch it out during the “Sit and Be Fit” session.
Nesby won the hearts of all 966 women who attended this year’s Health Ministry Empowerment Tour. So much that the City of Marion gave her the key to the city!
