New Directions Community Outreach, Inc.

New Directions Community Outreach, Inc. (NDCO) is a non profit organization that services the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) cities within Aiken County. They are a service-oriented organization located in North Augusta, S.C., that provides educational programs, health awareness outreach and healthy life learning programs that will help enrich our community.  NDCO is also committed to providing education and support services as a stepping stone to those who desire a brighter future. Under the leadership of current Executive Director Mr. Kerry Washington, NDCO is dedicated to ensuring that every individual they touch has the means and the strength to be happy, healthy and successful. With honesty and confidentiality, they pledge to serve those who come through our doors with respect and compassion.

“Through our dedication and support, we will empower and uplift the spirits of those we serve,” said Washington. Currently, NDCO has partnered with the local Boy and Girls Scouts to aid in community services projects that are geared toward the senior community. “We want kids to understand the important of service not only to the community, but those who are the elders and pillars of our community,” stated Washington. 

Upcoming programs will include a community health and wellness project starting late spring, called “Spring Into Shape,” which will focus on practical fitness exercises that will promote healthier lifestyle among families.  NDCO also spends ample of amount time focusing on the spiritually aspects of community building. Washington stated that spiritually and life counseling are their cornerstones to building a complete healthy community.
