Your Benefit
- Adult First Choice members can get 4 medicines a month. (This limit includes prescription items and certain over-the-counter medicines). There is a $3.40 co-payment for adults age 19 and older.
- First Choice members under 21 years of age can get unlimited medicines.
- Generic medicine and supplies will be provided when available.
What You Need to Do
- Get a prescription.
- Take it to a participating pharmacy. (Call Member Services at 1.888.276.2020 to find a participating pharmacy near you.)
- Show the pharmacy your First Choice ID card and your Healthy Connections Choices card.
Examples of Over-the-Counter Medicines
- Cough syrup
- Sinus and allergy medicines
- Pain medicine, such as acetaminophen, naproxen and ibuprofen
- Heartburn medicine, such as antacids, cimetidine and ranitidine
