CLAS Workgroup

Select Health is committed to providing adequate oversight to all Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) activities. Reporting to the Total Quality Management Committee by way of the Compliance Committee, the CLAS workgroup, with cross-departmental representation provides organizational direction to Select Health’s CLAS efforts.

The CLAS workgroup maintains responsibility for reviewing, updating and implementing the Cultural Competence Plan. The CLAS committee oversees activities, policies and procedures that are relevant to the 14 national CLAS standards, which ensure that First Choice members are served in a way that is responsive to their cultural and linguistic needs.

For more information about Select Health’s CLAS Initiative, contact Jill Lemay, Cultural Competency Coordinator at 843.529.5218.
