First Choice Kids members have access to a 24-hour nurse advice help line. The Nurse Help Line is a free service you can call anytime. A registered nurse will listen to your child’s symptoms and help you make a good healthcare decision. The nurse will help you decide if you should call your doctor or go the hospital. The nurse might also give you tips on you can care for your child at home.
The Nurse Help Line does not replace your child's doctor. Instead, the nurse helps you choose the right kind of care from the right place. However, if you think there is an emergency, call 911 or local emergency services first.
So, next time your child is sick, hurt or in need of medical advice, call the Nurse Help Line. For more information about the Nurse Help Line, call Member Services at 866.299.9594.
