Select Health of South Carolina Recognized as One of the Best

Select Health of South Carolina has been selected as one of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina.

The Best Places to Work program recognizes 28 companies that provide the best employee experiences at the individual, team and organizational levels.The annual competition is sponsored by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the South Carolina State Council, SCJobnetwork.com, SCBIZ and the Best Companies Group.

Select Health was selected as one of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina after associate survey results revealed consistent quality in employees’ work place experience and in the health of the organization’s culture.

“We are extremely proud of this award because it is based on employee feedback and is a demonstration and extension of our mission,” said CEO Michael Jernigan. “Not only are we committed to improving the health and lives of our members, but we are also dedicated to our employees.”

SelectWellness, the company’s award-winning wellness program, is just one example of Select Health’s commitment to its workforce.  As part of SelectWellness, associates are offered the opportunity to participate in weight loss and walking programs, Weight Watchers sessions, mid-workday exercise classes like Yoga and after work, onsite classes such as Nia and Salsa. Associates are also offered reimbursement for gym membership fees and smoking cessation classes.

In addition to focusing on employee wellness, Select Health also offers employees a comprehensive benefits package and has a strong commitment to diversity.
