Human Resources Supervisor Carolyn Kanski Earns Human Resources Certification

December 17, 2008
North Charleston, SC

Select Health of South Carolina is pleased to announce that Carolyn Kanski, Human Resources Supervisor, recently earned certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

The certification, awarded by the HR Certification Institute, signifies that Kanski possesses the knowledge and practical experience in human resource management necessary to pass a rigorous examination demonstrating a mastery of knowledge in the field.

"Certification as a human resource professional clearly demonstrates a commitment to personal excellence and to the human resource profession," said Mary Power, executive director of the HR Certification Institute.

To become certified, an applicant must pass a comprehensive examination and demonstrate a strong background of professional human resource experience.

Kanski began her career at Select Health in 2004 as a human resources coordinator and was promoted to human resources supervisor in January of 2007.  She has over ten years of human resources experience and has helped to grow Select Health to over 240 employees statewide.

“Carolyn’s certification serves to publicly acknowledge the level of human resources expertise that she has acquired over the past ten years in this field,“ said Michelle Powell, director of human resources at Select Health.  “She possesses excellent employee relations skills and is well respected by her team and fellow Select Health employees.”
