Select Health Of South Carolina Receives Silver Wing Award


Recognized for 2008 Annual Report to the Community

The South Carolina chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA) recently recognized Select Health of South Carolina with a 2008 Silver Wing Award for its 2008 annual report to the community, "Empowered People Building Healthy Communities." The award was presented during the SCPRSA's annual Mercury Awards Banquet, which honors creative communication, strategic excellence and individual accomplishments in the public relations field.

"Select Health is honored to have received this recognition," said J. Michael Jernigan, chief executive officer of Select Health. "Our annual report to the community showcases our continuing commitment to provide quality healthcare to our members, and we are honored to be recognized for this achievement."

The Silver Wing Awards recognize outstanding public relations tactics that contribute to the success of an overall public relations program or campaign. The Silver Wing celebrates the best of the best in tactics through categories reflecting their growing scope, creativity and importance in strategic public relations.  The award for outstanding annual report is awarded to the organization who demonstrates effective implementation, creativity and originality in conveying its annual performance.
