Select Health of South Carolina Receives Best Places to Work Award

Select Health of South Carolina has once again been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The company has been named the third best small to medium sized-company to work for in the state.

The Best Places to Work program, sponsored by a partnership with the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) - South Carolina State Council, and SCBIZ, recognizes 20 companies that provide the best employee experiences at the individual, team and organizational levels.  Select Health was selected for the second year in a row as one of the best in the state after consistently providing employee satisfaction across many areas including work environment, overall health of the organization’s culture, and role satisfaction.

Michael Jernigan, chief executive officer of Select Health. “This award demonstrates our continued commitment to providing the best work experience for our associates, and we continue to make their satisfaction our number one priority.”

Select Health’s award-winning wellness program, SelectWellness, continues to score high with employees.  The program provides unique opportunities for its employees to become healthy, including participating in weight loss and walking programs, health and wellness luncheons with nutrition experts, and mid-day workday exercises classes such as Yoga and Pilates. The program also recently won its second Gold Well Workplace Award from the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA), an award that honors workplaces that make employees’ health and wellness a priority.

Select Health received its official Best Places to Work award during an awards ceremony on October 8 in Columbia.
