2009 Health Ministry Empowerment Tour Kicks Off in Charleston

Over 150 women came out to help kick off the 2009 Health Ministry Empowerment Tour on Saturday, October 3 in Charleston. Attendees received free health screenings and health information, attended life management and health workshops and visited with numerous health and wellness vendors. A fashion show kicked off the general session, followed by the keynote speech from author and life coach Katrina Spigner, founder and CEO of Re-Source Solutions, a company dedicated to supporting others in realizing the visions, goals and desires God has for them.
A collaborative effort between Select Health of South Carolina and IMARA Woman Magazine, the Health Ministry Empowerment Tour, in its eighth year, is a free, three-city event that targets minority women in rural communities across the state to provide them with health education and quality of life resources. The second stop of the tour was held on October 17 in Aiken with over 200 participants. The final stop of the tour will be held on October 24 in Rock Hill.
