Select Health Sponsors Daniel Burgess Tricycle Relay
Columbia, SC

Select Health of South Carolina recently sponsored the Daniel Burgess Tricycle Relay, an event held to honor the memory of Daniel Burgess who recently passed away from asthma-related complications.  The event, which took place Saturday, November 21 in Columbia, was organized to help raise awareness about the seriousness and prevalence of asthma in our community and to decrease the number of lives claimed by this disease through information and education.

Members of the Select Health Community Liaison Department, as well as members of the Select Health Marketing Department, participated in the event.  In addition to the races, the event featured educational seminars, health screenings, physical fitness, local vendors and a special tribute to six-year old Daniel. The proceeds benefited the mission and initiatives of the South Carolina Asthma Alliance and Benedict College Athletics.
