Foundations 4 Life Announces Xtreme Teen Challenge

Foundations 4 Life, LLC, is proud to announce the launch of the Xtreme Teen Challenge.  This series of events and fitness activities gives teens from across the Midlands the motivation to get moving, get healthy and develop a foundation of fitness in their lives while earning rewards that will truly last a lifetime.  Events range from fun runs/walks to hiking, dance marathons and more.

Are you ready for THE CHALLENGE? Here are the details:

• Open to youth ages 9-17. 
• Participation requires a $49.99 registration fee unless you are a First Choice health plan member. First Choice is paying the $49.99 registration fee for its first 500 health plan members who join the challenge.
• Youth complete events and activities to earn Xtreme Rewards Points and compete for $10,000 in scholarships!
• Youth may participate in individual events if they are not involved in the complete challenge.  Individual event registration can be found in the Xtreme Teen Challenge calendar of events.
(Note: Family can join in, but are not eligible for prizes.) 

"First Choice by Select Health of South Carolina is investing in the wellness of our members by sponsoring an Xtreme Teen Challenge team," said Cindy Helling, executive director of Select Health. "Registration is free for the first 500 First Choice members who join."

First Choice by Select Health is the state’s largest Medicaid health plan. Its mission is to help people get care, stay well and build healthy communities.

Other sponsored teams of 20 or more are encouraged to participate and will earn additional awards and recognition.

Rewards Points are spent in the Rewards Zone web store for items such as free event tickets, fitness equipment, gift cards and more. Foundations 4 Life will award $10,000 in scholarships annually to participants who earn the most points and pass our panel review.  To register visit: www.XtremeTeenChallege.org.  Be sure to register for the Xtreme Teen Challenge "Running of the Greens". The event will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. as the kickoff to the Gaston Collard Festival.
