Select Health of South Carolina is an organization that serves more than 160,000 members in 46 counties. Select Health members have access to an extensive provider network of physicians, specialists, pharmacies and hospitals. They also receive many expanded benefits and services through two health plans, First Choice and First Choice Kids.

Select Health is a wholly owned subsidiary of AmeriHealth Mercy. AmeriHealth Mercy comprises the largest family of Medicaid managed care plans touching the lives of 6.5 million members nationwide.

First Choice

First Choice is a Medicaid managed care plan.

First Choice is a Medicaid health plan. First Choice members keep their regular Medicaid, but receive extras like free personal healthcare items, health education and nurse advice and support.

First Choice Kids

First Choice Kids is health plan that covers children

First Choice Kids is health plan that covers children whose family earns too much to qualify for Medicaid, but not enough to afford a private health insurance plan.
